Family emotional climate
-
Abstract :
The development of emotions are influenced by many factors such as temperament, neurophysiology and cognitive development. However, emotions are the result of social relationships and one of the important social contexts is family. As family members create an atmosphere by expressing positive and negative emotions that ensures the survival of that family. This study reviewed the researches into family emotional climate and demonstrated the types of family emotional climate (positive and negative), components of the family emotional climate (parental mental health, parent-child attachment, parenting style, family emotional expressivity and marital relation) and effects of family emotional climate. According to researches about family emotional climate, if parents pay attention to creating a positive emotional atmosphere, children will experience emotional security, have less problems in emotional regulation, adaptation and aggression and be able to solve problems creatively and achieve academic progress, and in disease situations can manage it well.
