یکی از متغیرهای مهمی که منجر به درگیری تحصیلی می شود، جو عاطفی موجود در خانواده است. هدف از پزوهش حاضر بررسی رابطهی ادراک از جو عاطفی خانواده با درگیری تحصیلی بود. روابط خانوادگی بر نحوۀ پردازش اطلاعات و سازگاری آموزش مشخص کردند که وجود روابط بین والدینی نا ایمن به طور غیر مستقیم با پیشرفت تحصیلی ضعیف و پردازش منفی اطلاعات در وقایع استرس آور مرتبط با همسالان رابطه دارد که این وضعیت افزایش ناسازگاری کودک در طی یک دورۀ یکساله را پیشبینی میکند. بنابراین می توان گفت که جو عاطفی خانواده بهعنوان پیشآیند سطح خانواده و همسالان، در فرآیند مقابله با ناملایمات تحصیلی و فرایند تنیدگی، در نظر گرفته می شود. پیشنهاد می شود در مشاوره تحصیلی متغیر ادراک دانش آموز/ دانشجو از جو عاطفی خانواده در نظر گرفته شود.
