در ایالات متحده آمریکا که تبعیض نژادی بطور ساختار یافته ای در زندگی روزمره جامعه جاری است، تاثیرات روانی و جسمی متعددی بر آمریکاییان آفریقایی تبار وارد می کند . بالاخص تاثیراتی که تبعیض نژادی در مراحل رشد روانی و جسمی این افراد دارد در طول مسیر زندگی و هم در شکل گیری شخصیت ایشان کتمان ناپذیر است. دو مرحله از مراحل رشد انسانی که دستخوش این سوء تاثیرات می شود جنینی و نوجوانی است. این مطالعه از نوع مروری می باشد که در تنظیم آن از کتب و مقالات معتبر منتشر شده استفاده شده است، که بیانگر تاثیرات تبعیض نژادی بر دو مرحله حساس از رشد در میان آمریکاییان آفریقایی تبار می باشد.

In the United States, where racial discrimination is structured in the daily life of society, it has many psychological and physical effects on African Americans. In particular, the effects of racial discrimination on the mental and physical development of these individuals throughout their lives and in the formation of their personality are undeniable. Two stages of the of human development that are affected are fetal and adolescent. This study is a review that uses authoritative published books and articles. It reflects the effects of racial discrimination on two sensitive stages of growth among African Americans.
