Spiritual beliefs are one of the factors affecting students' mental health. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between self-control and resilience with spiritual beliefs in humanities students of Lahijan Azad University in 2021. In this cross-sectional study, 321 humanities students were studied. Participants completed a Nikmanesh self-control questionnaire, Connor & Dioson's resilience, victim's mystical experiences, and a demographic information checklist. In addition to descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. SPSS software version 21 was used for data analysis. The results of correlation test showed that there is a relationship between self-control (P <0/001) and resilience (P <0/01) with spiritual beliefs and self-control and resilience have the ability to predict students' religious beliefs. (0/001> P). These results provide new scientific evidence that approves millennial traditional coping techniques and clarifies the psychological factors influencing spiritual beliefs that contribute to mental health, reduce distress symptoms, and maintain emotional well-being.
