The instruments used in this study included standardized questionnaires: the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ), the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20), the Interpersonal Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (IERQ), and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale (GAD-7). Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, as well as structural equation modeling via SPSS and LISREL software. Results of the structural equation modeling indicated that adverse childhood experiences had a significant direct effect on generalized anxiety (β= 0.320, t = 3.205, p< 0.001) and alexithymia (β= 0.360, t=4.021, p< 0.001). Furthermore, alexithymia significantly influenced generalized anxiety (β= 0.284, t=3.122, p
